To comply with SMS sending regulations and avoid spam, we have implemented the following measures:

  1. Mandatory Registration: All accounts must complete a registration process before sending any SMS messages to the continental US. This ensures that all senders adhere to the necessary guidelines to prevent spam.

    • Providing Examples of SMS: You will need to submit examples of the messages you intend to send. SMS should clearly state the name of your company to avoid user confusions.
    • Subscription Permission: Ensure that your subscribers have expressed either written or digital permission to receive communications.
  2. Initial Limit: After registration, accounts are initially limited to sending 500 SMS per day within the continental US. This helps us monitor and verify that messages comply with our anti-spam policies.

  3. Verification Process: If your account is verified as compliant and not sending spam, you may request an increase in your daily SMS limit. Our team will review your account and determine if a higher limit can be granted.

How to Complete the Registration

To complete the registration and start sending SMS messages, follow these steps:

  1. Log In to Merlin: Access your account by logging in to our software.
  2. Navigate to the Configuration Menu: Go to the configuration menu where you will find the registration wizard.
  3. Complete the Registration Wizard: Follow the steps in the wizard to provide the required information and examples of your SMS messages.

One SMS segment equals a combination of up to 69 characters. Which is the equivalent of one minute in cost. Please review our pricing table to view our up to date minute prices. If your SMS is longer than one segment (69 Characters) then you will be billed, two, three, or more segments/minutes depending on how long your SMS is.

There is no actual limit on the amount of segments you an use, however we recommend you keep your communications under 4 segments. One SMS segment equals a combination of up to 69 characters. Yes! We operate on a pay as you go schema. Feel free to login to your My account section, locate the Add minutes section, and load the amount of minutes you need.

Any unused minutes will expire at the end of the billing cycle. Unfortunately, they do not carry over to the next cycle. We recommend monitoring your usage to ensure you make the most of your available minutes each month.

Our application doesn’t have a limit of SMS that can be sent. However we do have to comply with SMS sending regulations to avoid SPAM. When you signup for a new account, your account is limited to 500 SMS per day when sending to US phone numbers. All other countries are not currently limited. If you want to start sending SMS to US phone numbers we are required to register your account and provide examples of SMS being sent. As well as subscribe and unsubscribe options/links. You can complete this registration by using our registration wizard located in the configuration menu inside the configuration section in Merlin.

We hold a strong policy against any illegal activity and or any illegal drugs. However if your business is a licensed cannabis dispensary and you have all your business licenses up to date. You can use our platform to better server your customers. However since we rely on third party social media platforms we are subject to their respective terms and conditions which may be different from each other. Please visit their respective websites to learn more about their cannabis rules and or regulations.

No you can’t. SMS sending is not permitted for cannabis businesses.

We don’t have a limit of calls that can be connected at the same time. It will all depend on how many calls your staff can handle.

Yes! you can dial/call international numbers using our system. By default all Merlin accounts are limited to the United States, Canada, and Mexico. If you need to make calls to other countries please contact our support department so we can activate the country you wish to make calls to. Please keep in mind minute pricing may be different depending on the call destination.
